Natalie Chen

Director, Operations


Natalie is a senior in the Bay Area, California. She serves as Director of Operations at Edurefuge, where she works to expand access to educational resources for as many students as possible. She is a TEDx speaker, state finalist in Speech and Debate, and a member of the NYLC’s Youth Advisory Council. In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts and watching Warriors basketball.

Allison Guan

Director, Outreach


Allison is a sophomore in the Bay Area, California. As Edurefuge’s Director of Outreach, she facilitates partnerships with refugee organizations, manages the creative team, and directs the organization’s external strategies. She is very interested in linguistics, the humanities, and education. In her free time, you can find Allison learning languages or solving the crossword.

Andrea Wong

Director, Outreach


Andrea Wong is a junior in the Bay Area, California. As Edurefuge’s Director of Outreach, she manages partnerships with refugee organizations and directs external outreach. She loves to shop at discount stores, fly out to compete at debate tournaments and is on a journey to try every matcha place in the Bay. She is so excited to work on big things this year!

Sahar Khan

Director, Education


Sahar is a senior in Austin, Texas who plans to major in mechanical engineering. As Director of Education, she is responsible for volunteer recruitment, organizing refugee feedback, and matching refugees with appropriate volunteers. In her free time, you can catch her reading comics or rerunning 1980’s indie tv shows.

Aiden Moore

Director, Finances


Aiden is a Senior from Austin, Texas who hopes to take his analytical thinking into the world of high finance following graduation. During his time as a teacher with the program, Aiden was responsible for a class of 10+ students. Now-as the Director of Finance-Aiden focuses on budgeting, fundraising, and maintaining relationships with donors. In his free time, Aiden loves to golf, bowl, and learn everything he can.

Director, Technology


Harris Lim is a rising sophomore from Santa Rosa, California and manages apps and other technical tools for Edurefuge. In his free time, he loves playing jazz and tennis. He enjoys finding new ways to use technology to support the team's goals. He is grateful for the opportunity to be part of The Education Refuge and looks forward to growing alongside the team.

Matthew Lee

Founder, President of Board


Matt is a student at Cornell University studying Industrial and Labor Relations. During his tenure as Director of Operations, he was responsible for facilitating Edurefuge’s partnerships, personnel growth, and fundraising efforts. In his free time, Matt loves to read, run, and watch Carolina Panthers football.

Anjay Singla

Founder, Treasurer of Board


Anjay is a student at Case Western Reserve University studying Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. During his tenure as Director of Internal Operations, he was responsible for managing Edurefuge's finances, legal work, and its digital systems and information. In his free time Anjay enjoys managing his homelab as well as building personal projects and antennas as an amateur radio operator.

Reese Park

Reese is a student at The Ohio State University Honors Program studying Biology, Spanish, and History on a four year service and academic scholarship. During her tenure as Director of Personnel, she focused on volunteer recruitment alongside improving the organization’s lesson planning and curriculum development. In her free time, Reese loves to play assorted video games and cooks for her friends.
